Fishing for Barramundie

We got the opportunity to fish at a Barramundie Fish Farm this week. John's friend, Byron raises these fish that were imported from Australia and sells them to Outback and a few other restaurants that have Barramundie on the menu and also lets people in to his farm and catch and release them for fun. There is nowhere else in the Northern Hemisphere that you can go catch these fish so this was a real treat. He says they are a like a mix between a snook and a bass, they are very agressive and weigh about 7-10lbs. I caught so many my arm was hurting!! We even got Nick to catch the fish and reel it in which has been hard to do out in the Bay where getting one to bite your line is a lot harder. Though, of course, John caught the most!! The video at the bottom is of the fish all jumping out of the water when mine was being caught. It is WILD!!!
