Moving on....

I've gotten a bit behind so I am going to post about the most recent stuff and go backwards as time permits. My mom, the kids and I just got back from vacation on Ohio visiting my grandmother and aunt. We had quite the adventure from the beginning. It all started at the airport while eating lunch on Monday, Spencer threw up milk everywhere right at we were leaving to board the plane. We weren't sure if he was sick or if he gagged on his chicken I made him eat so the ride on the plane was scary...wondering if he'd throw up again every time he coughed. We lucked out, he fell asleep for most of the ride. Then we arrived in Pittsburg, got our rental car and headed to Ohio. Twenty minutes into the drive, I heard a thud, felt a jolt of braking and looked up to see white plastic flying down the interstate. I thought we hit a bicycler (wasn't thinking about how that isn't legal on an interstate) but my mom said it was a deer that crossed 3 lanes of traffic and then tried to jump over us!!! We couldn't see the damage, it was getting dark, no exits anywhere so we kept going. This is what we saw when we finally stopped at our destination.

We are glad everyone was okay but glad we live in Florida where hitting a deer is rare and the ones that are hit are normally smaller than northern deer. The rental company did bring us a new car and took away the old one. Though we are sure my mom will be paying for that one way or the other. Hope you had a good time dispite this accident.
Another issue was the flooding of my grandma's basement, no one getting any sleep, Spencer meltdowns, electronic equipment failure and constant entertainment places that were closed. But the kids BOTH sleeping on the flight home was PRICELESS and quite possibly worth all of the bad things that happened. We are ALL glad to be home though. It's so nice to hear my kids ask about going back to granny's house though...it makes me smile knowing they have gotten to know what a wonderful woman she is.
